  1. Perfect Solution - Posted by: TheDuke (3/20/15)

My '98 K1500 Suburban was suffering from sever rear end sag. I like to take it off-road to explore new places and was concerned about bottoming out the rear end. I installed 4" lift blocks in the rear and turned up the torsion bars to add 1.5" to the front end. This resulted in a much better vehicle stance and a new problem, the rear sway-bar now hung below the differential housing which could get caught on rocks, logs etc. as well as too much tension on the sway-bar causing the truck to ride funny on the highway.
Purchased these after market sway-bar links and both problems were solved. The sway-bar is now out of the way in near stock position and the truck rides much better. Recently road tested on Detroit area expressway and the truck handled beautifully! Installation was a relative breeze, used a cutoff wheel and cut the factory links to relieve pressure on the factory bolts. Highly recommend applying heat to help crack the bolts loose. Once the old links where off, the new ones went on super easy. My only complaint is that the new kit does not include new nuts and bolts, had to use my rusted Midwest originals. Overall very happy with look and performance!
