Choosing the correct size depends on your vehicle type, lift height, and driving preferences. Use Rough Country’s fitment guide, vehicle selector, or package builder to find options tailored to your exact make and model. Proper sizing ensures optimal handling, clearance, and tire wear.
Create your custom wheel & tire combination
Most of the time, yes—especially if you're going with tires that are significantly bigger than stock. Without a lift or leveling kit, larger tires can rub against the fenders or suspension when turning or flexing. Even a small lift can make a big difference in both fitment and off-road performance. Rough Country offers lift kits made to pair with your tire size, so everything clears and works like it should.
The term “rim” technically refers to the outer edge of a wheel that holds the tire, while “wheel” describes the entire assembly. In everyday use, the two terms are often used interchangeably. Rough Country wheels are built for both strength and style, engineered to perform in rugged off-road conditions.
All-Terrain (A/T): Great for everyday driving with weekend off-road use. Quieter ride and solid traction on dirt and gravel.
Mud-Terrain (M/T): Designed for mud, rocks, and rugged trails. More aggressive tread but louder and stiffer on pavement.
Wash off mud, salt, and grime regularly to prevent corrosion.
Rotate your tires every 5,000–7,000 miles and check tire pressure often.
Inspect wheels for damage after trail rides or rough terrain.
