Meet Rough Country’s 2026 summer interns and see how they gained hands-on experience in engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and product development.

This summer, Rough Country interns worked across Research and Development, manufacturing, plastics, and East Court operations. They designed parts, supported production, learned new software and equipment, and saw their work move from an idea on a computer screen to something used on the shop floor.
Manager Josh Enochs said the program gives engineering students experience with projects tied to real business needs.
“The internship program at Rough Country is a great way for up and coming engineers to gain hands-on experience in real world scenarios that have real world business impacts,” Enochs said. “This group of interns have been a tremendous asset amongst the various departments they were deployed to and have bright futures ahead of them!”

Rough Country Summer Interns Put Their Skills to Work

See how Aiden Urbine equipped his 2000 Ford F-250 with Rough Country upgrades for hunting, kayaking, and life on the road.

Aiden Urbine has owned his 2000 Ford F-250 Lariat for about a year, but his preference for older trucks started long before this build.
“I’ve always been attracted to older vehicles,” Aiden said. “I have never owned a truck newer than a 2003.”
&nbsp;When he decided to build a truck suited for extended travel and living on the road, he wanted something big, dependable, and ready to carry everything his adventures require.
“In my endless goal to chase my dirtbag dreams of living in my vehicle, I decided I needed to go with the biggest, baddest, and most reliable diesel ever made.”
&nbsp;The F-250 gave him the space and capability he needed for hunting, whitewater kayaking, camping, and wherever the road takes him next.

This setup pairs a 3-inch coil over lift with practical storage to create a truck ready for work and travel.

Dyer County and Dyersburg High School students toured Rough Country’s East Court Facility for Manufacturing Day and explored real career paths in modern manufacturing.

When two busloads of high-school students step into a building full of laser cutters, welding bays, and roaring presses, they get a clear look at the kind of work that shapes real products. Students from Dyer County High School and Dyersburg High School saw the process behind the parts they often spot on local trucks, Jeeps, and UTVs. At Rough Country’s East Court Manufacturing Facility, you could see their interest build as they moved through each area. And yes, a few of them admitted they wanted to come back and apply.
This year’s Manufacturing Day brought energy, curiosity, and plenty of “I didn’t know you made all of this here.” Exactly what we hoped for.

Ben isn’t just a guy with a guitar and a tour bus—he’s also a guy who knows that a truck isn’t just for driving... it’s for making a statement.
And when it came time to level up his 2014 Ford F-150? He came straight to Rough Country.
